Especially for Paul and John Francis...  I'm not sure the color version
that you guys are trying to get me to straighten is worth the effort.. I
may actually have another one
and of course the original chrome.  Have three frames in Tri-x located..
which might be salvageable given todays technology but I never printed
because of a developing
disaster.  As we were gone for so long, I send the chromes to Fairlawn
as we went along, of course, but I also sent about half the rolls I shot
of TRi-x to a guy who had been doing some processing for me, who did a
lot of color negative developing for me and special stuff, but had never
done my BW developing.. I sent him strict instructions
but about 18 rolls of film came out way too thin and grainier than they
should have been.  I regretted my impatience.  there are three exposures
of the place - and , I confess,
the sign is not tilted... The chorme was taken with 28mm out the car
window I'm pretty sure, but I got out to shoot the BW... the color had
been meant as a back-up.

But I do like the slant from a kind of editorial comment in the color
one.  Too much going on right now to deal with it... The holidays the
commencing of my annual
free lunches for my upcoming birthday.. (Dec 10)  Getting out and
meeting people during the day is great but it cuts into work and what
with scurrying about the city
I get pretty tired quickly.

Not to mention the time invoved in following the very important news of
the past week on TV - Yup, I watched a lot of tributes to #41, the pomp
and circumstance
and all.. being father left than he was , still he really had some fine
qualities  tht included an impish sense of humor.  Bet he would have
liked the photo.

It’s growing on me. In truth, There’s never one right way to frame a photo. I tend to grid most of my pics, but I’m sure many consider that too restrictive,

Let me be among the first to wish you a happy birthday!
